First and foremost, Kate is an incredibly passionate collector in the NFT space just like you, and an investor in cryptocurrency. This work combines her love for the crypto/NFT space and her professional skillset. Kate is an accomplished CPA and Cryptocurrency Expert (CCE) with a breadth of global experience, including former Big 4 tax, and senior roles in both audit and accounting. Kate has worked with clients across the globe and enjoys international travel immensely. 

For the NFT collectors: her first NFT purchase was from the Women and Weapons project. Kate is an enthusiast for women-lead NFT projects.

Her insights have been featured in both TIME & CoinDesk. She enjoys speaking regularly about blockchain tax and finance and has spoken for numerous blue chip NFT projects, including World of Women & Crypto Chicks. Kate is an enthusiastic supporter of women-lead initiatives and an advocate for inclusion in the web3 space.

Additional passion projects: Kate is is a founding partner of Optimal Nutrients, Inc., and the co-founder of the Family First Fitness Foundation, Inc., a registered 501(c)3 public charity. She is a 2019 Forty Under 40 award recipient (Central New York Business Journal), and recipient of Community Impact (City Mission of Schenectady) and Economic Champion (Centerstate CEO) awards for her community work dedicated to health inequity.

A licensed CPA has completed 150 hours of required coursework; passed 4 comprehensive exams in the areas of: 1. financial accounting and reporting, 2. tax and business legal entity structure, 3. financial audit, 4. business strategy, economics and finance; completed a minimum of 1 year’s work experience under a licensed CPA; and completes 40 hours per year of continuing professional education in the above areas. 

A CPA has the legal authority to advise the public and business entities in the areas of accounting & financial reporting, taxes, finance, and business strategy.

Kate is committed to community involvement and is the current Treasurer for Rainbow Auckland, Inc. and serves as a Trustee for the Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust. 

Kate has enjoyed speaking internationally on numerous platforms and welcomes future speaking opportunities. Most recently, Kate was a panelist for CPA Australia on LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace. Kate enjoys speaking on the topics of workplace inclusion, career and personal development, poverty and homelessness -- guest lecturing at Le Moyne College from 2015-2020 on the aforementioned topics. In 2016, she spoke in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Salvation Army of Edinburgh and Social Bite on societal responses to poverty and homelessness. In 2013, she spoke in Tokyo, Japan at Second Harvest Japan and Tokyo Metropolitan University on food insecurity and community development.
